Day 12
Today was my slacker day for the week. Just layed around the house and cleaned. Since today was my cheat day we went to Sweet Tomatoes for lunch..so that I wouldn't feel so guilty about cheating. Got to do some training with the dogs.. and did the home visit for Willow which went great!!!! Willow will officially be Pit Bull Happenings first adoption. If this is a sign of how things are going to be then we are on the right path.

Day 11
What a great day today.
Took Scar and Simba to the Mid Florida Fun show which I am now officially a proud member of!!! Scar got Best Brindle.. which was kind of like cheating because he was the only one entered lol.. and got 3rd place for his age. Overall it was a great time as usual. 2 shelter dogs Midas & Harpo got their CGC. Thanks to the dedication from Debbie & Jimmie. You guys ROCK!!!
And Willow had her meet and greet today. It's like it was meant to be. The family loved her and she will hopefully be PIT BULL HAPPENINGS first adopted dog. WOOT WOOT!!!! Hopefully all adoptions go this great!
Afterwards we took Scar to Duane's for some training and although he did good in some things he showed me alot of other things we have to work on. We have till March to get him to where he needs to be so that he can be on Duane's demo team. I am confident that he will do it.
I didn't get any actual exercise today in form of walking but I was on my feet 80% of the day and did really good with my portions and food choices.

Day 10
Today has been a total success. Walked a mile & 1/2 with Scar then another mile & 1/2 with Molly. Then went to work for my weekly weigh in... and TADA!!!! I have lost 5 pounds!!! I was so excited I was giddy the rest of the day. Its so nice to see the hard work showing on the scale.. gives me even more motivation to keep going and do great on next weeks weigh in.

Day 9
Day 9 was another success. Did great food wise and walked a mile & 1/2 in total on my breaks at work. Its getting easier to say no to unhealthy food and I am trying to learn to stop eating when I feel full which lately doesn't take much. Yay!!

Day 8
I am so proud of myself today. I stuck to my guns and did great food wise. I also walked a total of 3 and 1/2 miles today. It was freezing cold but I didn't let that stop me. I am going to take turns with the dogs and walk one each day. Today was Molly's turn and I realized that she needs it as much as I do. She was a little skiddish with passing cars at first but by the end of the walk was doing so much better. Plus she needs to lose a few pounds as well. Definately a great day .. WOOT WOOT!!

Days 4-7
I haven't done as much as I could these last few days but I have been doing better at controlling my portions. I have been having a hard time keeping the motivation going but after seeing a friends post tonight on FB and seeing her progress after losing 60 pounds it reinstated that motivation in me to see that it is possible and I can do this. So tomorrow is a new day and I will reach my goal!

Day 3
Day 3 was not so good.. I gave in to a few temptations but didn't go overboard. I was very proud of myself for being able to restrain myself from overboard. My little one is sick so I didn't get any exercise either but tomorrow is a new day.

Day 2
Today wasn't a total success only got to do my morning resistance band exercise but stuck to my guns with food and really behaved myself. We also had our pound for pound weigh in at work and I am 258. Normally that number would depress me.. but today it only gave me motivation to work harder. Planning on going on a very long walk with Scar tomorrow to burn calories and walk away the stress.
I seriously am very proud of myself.. considering how much I am going through lately with Janay the fact that I haven't given in to the bad snacks is great!!!

Day 1
Day 1 was a success.. did 20 minutes of exercise in the morning, behaved myself with what I ate all day and walked on both of my 15 minute breaks- total of almost 2 miles. Doing another 20 minutes of resistance band exercise before going to bed.
Tomorrow is our pound for pound challenge weigh in at work... wish me luck!!

Here .. begins my journey
Every year I watch the biggest loser.. and every time I say to myself.. "I can do that to" but never actually do it. I know I have the power to do it, but keeping the motivation going is always my biggest challenge. I always complain about doing it on my own. So now I say NO MORE!!! I gained this weight on my own and I will lose it ON MY OWN!!!
My Goal is 50 pounds by 2012
Starting weight is 258
I plan on weighing in every Friday morning.
I plan on watching my calories, cutting out rice, bread & pasta, more veggies & fruits & most important no more or juices.
Exercise 20 minutes in the morning and walk at least 1 hour every afternoon.
These are just my starting goals and I am trying to be as realistic as possible. I know its a long journey and I didn't gain this weight overnight .. so I don't plan for it to go away overnight either.
Follow me on my journey and say a prayer for me and this challenge ahead of me.
And a side warning: I get really cranky when I am hungry so if I am cranky these next few weeks you will know why. lol
